A City Reborn A state of the city address by Mayor John Rodriguez at the Holiday Inn Tuesday at noon, June 17, 2008. The event was organized by the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce and indicated highlights of the progress of the city's economy and cultural scene as well as the challenges being faced in terms of infrastructure (roads and community sports and arts facilities). Finally, the mayor noted the accomplishments of a variety of residents to enriching the fabric of the city.

Sudbury Food Bank receives donations from union members Despite the poor economy, local union members are still keen to ante up for the needy. Members of OPSEU donated $1,500 and enough food to fill two vans for the Sudbury Food Bank on Dec 18th.
